Have you ever wanted to wear a Japanese kimono? How about an exciting experience wearing a kimono and having your picture taken by a professional photographer while exploring in the Gion or Sannenzaka areas of Kyoto? Your dreams can come true with this exciting tour from Manten.

Wearing a kimono all day is difficult, but not for a short period of time!
During this unique tour, you will dress in a traditional Japanese kimono and walk around the beautiful Sannenzaka or Gion areas. Our tour operator and professional photographer will photograph you and your group as you explore the historic shopping district.

In the morning, our tour operator will take you to a kimono shop to get fitted. Enjoy a standard Nagoya brand polyester kimono or upgrade to a beautiful traditional silk kimono (10,000 yen upgrade fee)! Either way, a stylist will dress you up to look your best!

After dressing you may at first feel embarrassed about being dressed in a kimono, but you will soon relax, enjoy the experience and maybe even feel like a kimono model! You will visit either the Sannenzaka or Gion areas to explore and be photographed.

The photos taken will be made available to you via one of a number of methods, including a LINE album.

After your experience, you will return via taxi to your hotel or station.

9:30am Pick up by taxi in Kyoto at hotel or station
9:50am Arrive and dress in kimono
10:50am Kimono photography session
1:00pm Remove kimono
1:30pm Return by taxi to your Kyoto hotel or station

The state of the tour

In the morning a taxi will be picked you up from the hotel or the station.
You going to a kimono rental shop soon and choosing the best choice in the morning.
It takes 40 minutes ~ 1 hour from arriving shop to dressing up.
(It seems that it takes time to pick up kimono pretty well … For me of men …)

After dressing is over, it is shooting in Sannen-zaka Slope or Gion.
It is okay if you can walk with natural feel while looking at the souvenir shop without becoming too hard.
Sometimes you stop here and decide to pose is good!

Everyone, while being embarrassed at first, a photographer (me) took many pictures.
By gradually getting into that state, when you are finished you will feel like a model.

Changing the place according to the crowd, we may move around Gion Shirakawa / Tatsumi bridge.

We will forward the photo you taken with Wifi and forward it to your LINE etc. as an album.
It is clearer than taking a picture with a smartphone, and it can be checked immediately with a smartphone and sent to SNS.

About cancel Policy

If you cancel a tour, a cancellation fee may be assessed according to the following terms:
3 days before the scheduled tour start 10%
2 days before the scheduled tour start 20%
1 day before the scheduled tour start 30%
on the day of the scheduled tour start 100%
